Emerald Falls (2008)
One year after a devastating flood hit this world-renowned Grand Canyon destination, the Havasupai tribe has reopened its spectacular falls and pools to visitors. About 100 tourists are allowed daily now, arriving on foot, by horseback and in helicopters. Despite lingering damage from the deluge of Aug. 16-17, 2008, guests say they are spellbound.
Emerald Falls (2008)
Emerald Falls is a beautiful glossy green glaze that breaks lighter and pools into a mauve grey-green. When heavier coats are applied this allows the glaze to float up and create interesting surface variations echoing mossy patches found in rolling emerald landscapes.
I have to choose between the two to get back to my cruise ship in time. Which one can't I miss? Can I go in the water at the Emerald pools? Since we are going to see trafagla falls, should I choose emerald:confused: ?
I loved Dominica. It is a beautiful island. We took an island tour and went to both titou gorge and emerald pool. If I had to choose between the two I would choose titou gorge and bring water shoes so you can go inside the cave and see the waterfall. People that were going in said it was awesome. We were not prepared and so were not able to enjoy that part. There wasnt much to emerald pool.
We loved TiTou Gorge. We did the trip with Beno, along with Trafalgar Falls, Emerald Pool and Mr. Nice's Fruit stand. The cost was $55/pp. I would choose the Gorge over either of the falls in an instant.
We did both in one day, through bumpiing tours.. they are far apart, but they're doable. I would choose Titou gorge -- i love the cave!! and the waterfall within the cave is just amazing.. we didn't have water shoes, and still loved it! there are rocks when you first get in -- be careful! there are also rocks at emerald pool, though. it's cold at first, but you get used to it quickly. 041b061a72
